Clint

He didn’t know what he was doing. He rarely did. But that how life was for him. It didn’t matter really. As long as time cheaped on ticking and world cheaped on sping. He stud there watching the people walk along. Each having their own lives, own stories, place to be. Sometime he wondered about there stories. Wonder what they were. He would like to just for a moment slip in to another person body and mind to know what they know. To feel all there good and bad memories. To live another person life.

"Hey Clint, How's it going." A woman said as she sat down across from him. His eyes shifted to fix ate on her face. Mandy sat there her long brown hair flowed down over her shoulders. Her green eyes staring at him.

"It goes."

"Yeah? What brings you down to this end of the city. I heard you got a place up on the east side now."

"Not really. Just how sitting for a friend why they are out of the country."

"Mind if I stop back." She said with a smile and a bit. He knew what she had in mind. He thought about it for a moment. it had been awhile. But he didn’t really care. He didn’t have any plans for the evening. So what why not? He thought. His eye caught a young woman coming out of a dress shop across from the small coffee shop he had been sitting at.

"yeah sure come by around 9. I will text you the address." He said standing up. he dropped a five on the table. "Sorry, have some were to be."

Clint started up the street on the opposite side of the young woman. Weaving in and out of the people. She stopped at a small paper stand and started to brows the magazines. He stopped just across from her looking at a stand of sunglasses. He watched her pick up one magazine; Look at the cover then set it down and pick up another. She paid the for a stack and tucked them away in a hand bag. She turned around. He watched as she hailed a cab. As the cab pulled out. He quickly hailed his own.

"Fallow that cap." He said giving the cabby a 50$.

"Sure thing." The cabby said as started after.

About 15mins later the cab stopped and he jumped out. He watched the woman get out of her cab and head in to a small motel.

He walked up the street slowly. He waited awhile then dash across the street. The door bell made a loud ding dong as he pushed open the door. A man sat behind 3inchs of bullet proof glass. With a few holes drilled in to the front.

"What?" he asked his tone annoyed at being interrupted.

"A woman just came in here. What room did she go to?" Clint asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about." The man said putting up his news paper.

"How about now." Clint said sliding a 100$ under the glass. The man reached out and took the money but never stopped put down the paper.

"yeah a woman just came in here."

"What wrong?"
"Don't remember." The man replied. Clint could hear the smile across the man's face. Clint slide another 100$ under the glass.

"14b."

"Thanks." Clint said with sarcasm in his voice. He left the small office. He looked at the closer door 1a. He took the steps two at a time as he want to second floor. He walked down the hall at a quick pace. 9b, 10b, 11b, 12b, 14b. He stopped standing just outside of it. He glanced up and down the hall. Seeing no one inside he slowly crouched down. Placing his ear on the door. the creaking of bed springs could be heard.

Just like he said they would be. Both of them in there. He thought as he stud up and pulled a glock out from under his jacket. His heavy boot smashed the door open in a single go. He stepped in and fired two rounds. He wiped the glock clean with a rag from his back pocket as he walked away. As he was passing an ice machine. He jammed it to the bottom corner. He didn’t really care if anyone found it. But he surely wasn’t going to make it easy.

Ding dong. The door bell filled the apartment. Clint walked out of the bedroom pulling on a shirt as he walked.

"Be right there."
